AmCham member, Banque Centrale Populaire (BCP), opened the bank’s first representative office in the U.S. in Washington, D.C. The office was inaugurated in attendance of Mohamed Benchaaboun, CEO of BCP, Rashad Bouhlal, ambassador of the kingdom of Morocco to the U.S., members of the Moroccan community in Washington, D.C. as well as many American businessmen. Banque Centrale Populaire is already present in North America with a representative office in Montreal, Canada.
Mohamed Benchaaboun’s testimonial:
“This new structure, which has been approved by the authorities of the U.S. Federal Reserve in March 2014, will facilitate business relationships between the Moroccan community and Banque Populaire in the U.S. It will also make the needed information on financial products and services in Morocco available to all customers in the U.S.”
