AmCham member, Al Akhawayn University, has appointed Ms. Rebecca Geffner as the new Executive Manager of the Executive Education Center (EEC) in Casablanca.
Ms. Geffner has over 8 years of experience in international higher education at one of the top business schools in the United States, Fox School of Business, where she has held the position of Director of International and Executive Programs, the Center for International Business Education and Research (CIBER) and the Institute of Global Management Studies (IGMS). She has also been involved in the development of important programs including program development (both international Executive MBA programs and global immersion programs), strategic partnership building (Africa, S. America, Europe, Asia and the US), extensive international travel and risk management, corporate engagement and management of an over 1 million dollar federal grant for the CIBER Center activities.
Ms. Geffner’s mission for the Executive Education Center in Casablanca is to train future leaders, managers and entrepreneurs both domestically and internationally in order to prepare them to tackle business challenges in emerging Africa and an interconnected world. She aims to do this by providing innovative continuing education programs to enable executives and decision-makers to improve their core competencies, stay abreast of business trends, and develop thought leadership in their own industries via professional workshops, corporate speaker series, degree programs and networking opportunities.
One of her team’s first new offerings to the Casablanca market will include a corporate training workshop in Data Visualization to be delivered in early April by one of AUI’s expert partners coming from the United States.
