On Thursday March 9th, AmCham in collaboration with the U.S. consulate held its annual networking event at Villa Mirador under the theme “Boosting your Business Through Networking”
The mixer had 120 AmCham member companies, U.S. embassy and consulate officers and a delegation from Wharton Business School, University of Pennsylvania. During the event, U.S. officers introduced themselves and ways by which they can help AmCham members including advocacy, referral letters for US companies bidding on Moroccan projects, security and safety advise, obtaining a business visa and other services aimed at boosting U.S.-Morocco trade and investment.
Nicole Theriot, U.S. Consul General, opened the mixer and introduced the new acting president of AmCham, Azzedine Kettani.
This year’s mixer also served as an opportunity to award the managing director of AmCham, Rabia El Alama, a certificate of appreciation delivered by the U.S. Mission for her sustained excellence and profound commitment to promoting U.S.-Morocco bilateral trade.
Wharton School of Business, University of Pennsylvania students visit Morocco
16 Wharton School of Business MBA visited Rabat, Fes, Meknes and Casablanca to learn about the Moroccan economy, politics and government. In Casablanca, AmCham hosted them for a business briefing and arranged visists to Citibank, Dell and Jacobs.
The students had also the chance to attend the AmCham mixer at villa Mirador to mingle and interact with Moroccan and American business owners in different industries.
