Roundtable discussion on Morocco’s Public Procurement System
December 19, 2019 @ 12:00 pm - 2:30 pm
A roundtable discussion on Morocco’s Public Procurement System organized jointly by AmCham Morocco and the Foreign Commercial Service (FCS) to be held on Thursday, December 19th from 12:00 to 2:30pm.
The discussion will be led by two experts from the Commercial Law Development Program (CLDP) of the U.S. Department of Commerce. They’re here to listen to your experience as a U.S. company who has been involved or is planning on participating in public tenders.
The presenters will be:
- Omar Saeb, Program Manager-Federal Acquisition Service of the General Services Administration.
- Adam Al-Sarraf, Attorney Advisor International-CLDP
The CLDP provides government-to-government technical assistance, drawing upon highly experienced regulators, judges, policymakers, business leaders and attorneys from both the public and private sectors.
The visit of CLDP experts is part of an initial assessment of Morocco’s procurement legislation and implementing regulations in addition to the practices and procedures of procurement offices. This assessment will include meetings with ministerial leadership, procurement officials, judges, civil society and private sector representatives. Once the assessment is completed, the CLDP will design a training program to be offered in Morocco at a later date so your input is key.
